INGREDIENTS

1 loaf of bread

METHOD

00 dl of sifted wheat flour
1 pack of yeast
1 teaspoon of sugar
1 teaspoon of salt
1 dl of sesame seeds
5 dl of lukewarm water
3 spoonfuls of olive oil

IF YOU WANT TO DEEP-FREEZE THIS BREAD, IT IS BEST TO DO IT WHILE THE BREAD IS STILL WARM. TAKE THE BREAD OUT OF YOUR FREEZER WHEN YOU NEED IT, HEAT IT FOR A FEW MINUTES IN YOUR OVEN OR IN A TOASTER. IF YOU LIKE CARAWAY, MIX IT WITH THE SESAME SEEDS.

1 Mix the dry ingredients with half of the sesame seeds in a bowl. Pour the water into the bowl and add 3 spoonfuls of olive oil. Knead the dough thoroughly. Cover with a tea towel and let the dough rise for 30 minutes.
2 Lubricate an ovenproof tin with olive oil. Pour the dough into the tin and spread it evenly. Moisten your hands with lukewarm water. Sprinkle the rest of the sesame seeds over the dough. Use your moist fingertips to create multiple tracks in the dough. Let the dough rise for a further 20 minutes. Sprinkle a little lukewarm water over it and bake it in the middle of the oven at 250 degrees C (482 degrees F) for 15 minutes.
3 When the bread has achieved a golden colour, remove it from the oven. Cover it with a tea towel and allow it to stand for five minutes before serving.
Cut it into squares and serve.
